About Us

Founded in 1991 in the South West of England, Otter House started as a small business focused on greeting cards and gifts. Over the years, we’ve expanded our offerings to include calendars, jigsaws, and a wide variety of gift items. Collaborating with some of the UK’s finest visual artists and designers, we’ve built a reputation for quality and creativity.

Through strong partnerships with our customers, we initially established ourselves as the UK’s leading producer and supplier of animal-themed gift products. As our popularity has grown, so has the diversity of our product range. Today, you can find Otter House products in major garden centres, charity catalogues and outlets, pet and farm shops, department stores, and more. Our exclusive One Stop Shop greeting card and gift displays are now featured in hundreds of locations across the country.

Our growth has been both organic and strategic. A significant milestone came in 2010 with the acquisition and merger of card company Images & Editions and calendar companies Jarrolds and Infocado.

Our licensing program has also flourished, featuring collaborations with renowned artists and charities, including RSPB, Alison’s Animals, Jo Grundy, and Edith Holden. We’re also proud to hold high-profile calendar licenses with brands like Emma Bridgewater, National Trust, WWF, and Kew Gardens.

Our charity fulfilment and mail-order division has grown remarkably. From our early work with The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association in the 1990s, we now partner with many of the UK’s leading animal and human charities including Dogs Trust, Cats Protection and Diabetes UK, generating a combined retail sales value of £11 million over the past five years. We are also proud to include Oxfam, Woodland Trust and Alzheimer’s Society amongst our charity customers for our bespoke printing services.
